As all Yo-kai Watch fans know, Yo-kai Watch Blasters 2, also known as Yo-kai Watch Busters 2, has never been released outside of Japan.
This mod aims to fully translate the entire game into English for both versions of the game Sword and Magnum so that all those fans in the west can finally experience this hidden gem of a game.
The translation project is still ongoing, with most backend translations completed, but the main story translation still in progress.
Installation
Note: This patch required the official updated game version 1.5 for both games.
The patch relies on LayeredFS, simply move the supplied "00040000001C9C00" folder into sd:/luma/titles/ (rename the folder if you are using a different version).
- Magnum version - 00040000001C9C00
- Sword version - 00040000001C9400
Make sure Enable Game Patching is checked in Luma3DS configuration menu (press Select on boot).
If you are updating the mod to a newer version, delete all the old files to avoid errors or data corruption. Just delete the entire old "00040000001C9C00" or "00040000001C9400" folder and move the new version's folder in its place.
It also works on emulators, but the correct install path may differ.

What's been translated in this new update patch?
- The entire story mode, with all their respective cutscenes.
- The entire medallium, with all Yo-kai names, descriptions and abilities.
- The auras menu, with all the labyrinth access they give and their abilities.
- The side story missions of Indiana Jaws, Nyanses II and Shovulcan.
- The Wanderer's Beach missions
- The mission menu, with all the story, auras, forbidden, daily and lair missions
- Miscellaneous content like the names of the elemental blocks, along with various little fixes in the help menu.
What hasn't been translated in this new update patch?
- The missions of Picker Tokugawa, Cindy Jaws...
- The auras' menu graphic texts, which are still in Italian, but will be fixed in the next update patch.
- The help menu, which sometimes pops-up during the story mode.
- Island NPCs interactions, like the dialogs with Lil' Yora, Beetler...
- The dialogues that appear when you talk to Beetler in the Wanderer's Beach.
- Miscellaneous in game text like mid-dungeon expressions spoken by Sgt. Burly, or main story dungeon names that still haven't been located file wise.

- This update polishes a lot more of chapter 1 while also translating item description text with a few more solid backend translations and changes.
