LCS CheatDevice is a plugin for GTA/Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories PSP. Developed by Edison Carter, it was originally released as a savefile version, and the plugin PRX version was later implemented.

The Cheat Device features all kinds of cheats for your LCS game, such as power jumps, infinite health and ammo, gravity distortion, and more. It also features a built-in screenshot function and video recorder.

Installation

Place lcscheatdevice.prx in the seplugins folder on your Memory Stick.

Edit game.txt in the same seplugins directory (create it if not already there) and add the line 

ms0:/seplugins/lcscheatdevice.prx

Enable lcscheatdevice.prx in the Recovery menu (hold R button while booting).

Note from developer:

Please use at your own risk as the plugin can crash the game. If you are doing missions or plan to save your progress, unload CheatDevice from memory first to prevent game from crashing.

Also do not load CheatDevice again when it's already running.

Video Recorder

  • Video Recorder records an animated GIF at 8 frames per second.
  • Remember to stop recording as the videos generated are huge to download.
  • The GIF file generated is uncompressed.
    • To compress it, load it into anything that can load animated GIFs and then save.
    • Compression reduces the filesize by better than 50%.

Screenshots

  • Screenshot saves a BMP of the screen to the /PSP/PHOTO/ directory where you can view it from the PSP's photo viewer.
  • The files are numbered sequentially. The numbering starts over at 1 again when you restart CheatDevice, so be aware it'll be overwriting your previous screenshots.
  • To take a picture, go to Screenshot and press Cross twice quickly and carefully. You may have to press it a third time if it doesn't trigger.

Construction Mode

  • You build things with Construction Mode inside the game using the arrow buttons and analog stick to move around.
  • Objects you create hover in front of you and move with you as you position them.
  • Everything you build is logged to the currently selected cheats file as moveto(), move(), and object() commands. A list of known object IDs is included.

Note: The Cheat Maker feature is only intended for programmers and skilled cheat developers.
