This is an unofficial updated of HODEX by MVG. It is a Xbox port of hode[1], which is a reimplementation of the engine used by the game Heart of Darkness originally developed by Amazing Studio.[2]
It has been recompiled with the newer SDL 1.2 that fixes the 480i and 480p issues, updated controls to match the PSX versions and read the files from a seperate folder.
Installation
The original datafiles from the Windows releases are required. You can also use the demo datafiles from the Android port.[1]
Copy all the game datafiles to the assets folder:
- hod.paf (hod_demo.paf, hod_demo2.paf)
- setup.dat
- _hod.lvl
- _hod.sss
- _hod.mst

Right-Stick Thumb - Exit game
B/Y - Shoot
X - Jump
D-Pad - Move

Known issues
There are some minor graphical issues, but the game is fully playable.
