This is a plugin that allows multiple ISO/CSO disc swaps during gameplay.
Installation
Rename your image files (i.e. xxx1.iso, xxx2.iso).
Copy disc_change.prx and disc_change.ini to ms0:/seplugins/.
Add the following line to ms0:/seplugins/game.txt:
ms0:/seplugins/disc_change.prx 1
For PSP Go users, change ms0 to ef0 if needed.
In Recovery Mode, go to the Plugins section and ensure that disc_change.prx is enabled.
User guide
How to use
If you're prompted to swap the UMD while playing:
- Press the menu button (default: Note+L+R) to open the menu.
- Use the Left or Right triggers to change the disk.
- Press the Cross button to cancel, and the Circle button to confirm the change.
Notes on UMD mode:
- If it is set to Normal or OE isofs, the UMD will load immediately after the switch.
- If it is set to M33 or NP9660, the PSP will automatically go into sleep mode and wake up, at which point the loading will begin.
Important Note:
- Avoid swapping ISO files unnecessarily.
- Basic error checking is in place, but there’s a chance of freezing.
- Some games may have compatibility issues with the UMD Driver.
- CSO files tend to have more strict compatibility.
Compatibility
Tested on CFW 6.60ME.
Changelog
Ver 2.6
- Fixed an issue where the menu would not display correctly in Trails in the Sky SC. (There may still be flickering, but it’s better than not displaying at all.)
Ver 2.5
- Fixed an issue where the PSP couldn’t enter sleep mode after using the Sony NP9660 driver.
Ver 2.4
- Since the June 14th version supported disc swapping in Shin Sangoku Musou 6 Special, I’m releasing this as version 2.4 (version 2.3 was created on June 11th).
- Like the June 25th version of [iso_tool], this is almost identical to what was previously released with the source code.
Ver 2.3
- Modified to check the CFW version and adjust behavior accordingly.
- Changed the behavior so the menu can be reopened after 1 second (instead of 5 seconds).
- Added debug display.
- A function to force disc swap has been added, which can be triggered by pressing the Triangle button (use this if the disc swap doesn't work on certain CFWs).
Ver 2.2
- Confirmed working on 6.39 PRO-B6.
- Fixed unstable screen display issues.
- Fixed an issue where the M33 driver would fail to recognize without sleep mode.
- Added support for the Inferno driver.
Ver 2.1
- Stopped using data files due to high memory usage.
- Fixed an issue where CSO files were not being recognized.
- Renamed the plugin from
iso_change.prx
todisc_change.prx
. - Changed the location of the
disc_change.ini
file so that it is now in the same directory asdisc_change.prx
, instead of a fixed location.
