Yam's Advance is a dice game for GBA. The game is also known as Yahtzee.
User guide
This game is played with 5 dice. The idea is to form combinations of dice during the rolls, each combination earning a certain number of points.
The objective of the game is to end up with the highest score at the end of 13 rounds. Once you have formed a type of combination, you cannot use that same type of combination again during the game to earn points (you can only use each type of combination once per game).
On each turn, you can roll the dice up to 3 times to achieve the best combination (you can set aside the ones you wish to keep for the moment after the first roll and the second reroll).
Once your 3 rolls have been made, click in the box in the table corresponding to your combination. If you have not achieve any combination in the category, you will not receive a point for the turn.
The game is completed after 13 rounds, with each of the 13 boxes filled.
Here are the 13 possible combination types:
- The 1s = The number of dice worth 1 x 1.
- The 2 = The number of dice worth 2 x 2.
- The 3s = The number of dice worth 3 x 3.
- The 4s = The number of dice worth 4 x 4.
- The 5s = The number of dice worth 5 x 5.
- The 6 = The number of dice being 6 x 6.
- Brelan (3 identical dice) = The total of all 5 dice.
- Square (4 identical dice) = The total of all 5 dice
- Full (3 identical dice and 2 identical dice) = 30 points.
- Small straight (4 consecutive dice) = 35 points.
- Large Straight (5 consecutive dice) = 40 points.
- Luck/Chance (any combination) = The total of all the dice.
- Yam's (5 dice of identical value) = 50 points.
- Bonus = 35 points.
Bonus is granted if the sum of the points reported by the first 6 combinations (The 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6) is greater than or equal to 63.
