Syobon Action PSP is a port of Syoban Action. It is a platform game originally created by Twoscomplement on PC, also known as Cat Mario, Neko Mario and Marion from Hell.
Installation
A total of 6 versions are available for the latest release, which consist of 3 variations with different CPU speed settings:
- Normal version (no clock change in code), for CFW or signed for OFW.
- Low clock version (133MHz,133MHz, 66MHz), for CFW or signed for OFW.
- Medium clock version (222MHz, 222MHz, 111MHz), for CFW or signed for OFW.
Unzip the version you want to use and copy to ms0:/PSP/GAME/.
Note: OFW refers to the Original Sony Firmware.
User guide
The maps and gameplay are almost identical between Syobon Action and Super Mario Bros, with the exception that in Syobon Action, traps, enemies and gadgets will appear from where you least expect it.
Controls
Main menu:
Start - Initiate game play
R - Load saved level (use Start button after that)
Circle - Start random generated new level
In game:
Select - Back to main menu (and reset level to the first, you will need load again if you want play the saved level)
L - Suicide (kill) and make a persistent save of the level
R - Speed mode
Triangle - Jump
D-Pad Left - Go left/right
D-Pad Down - Make something too (as in arrow down in PC version)

Compatibility
Developer noted that signed version was not tested on OFW.

- Many more optimization for speed up (133Mhz run very well, all levels). In the future I will try make a NDS version (but the develkit have to be more usable, stable, and less changes of API).

- Release compacted in 7z (use the 7zip or other compatible to extract).
