This is a port of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 to the Wii. It is based on Sonic 2 Community's Cut (aka Sonic 2 CX), a combined mod of Sonic 2 and the Genesis Plus GX emulator which adds many features like widescreen support and S2 2013 enhancements.
The package includes an HBC-ready application, and an IPS patch for a clean Sonic 2 ROM. The patch is unique as it removes analog stick support, which allows it to work with digital input again.
It is important to note that the patch does not have to be applied manually, as the emulator will apply it automatically.
Installation
Note: Requires Sonic 2 ROM to run, which can be found in the Steam release, as well as the NTSC-U Virtual Console release.
Rename your Sonic 2 ROM to SONIC2.bin.
Then use 7-Zip to compress it and name that file SONIC2.7z (or change the path specified in the meta.xml) then place it in apps/Sonic_2_CX/.

Collaborate with Tails in a new adventure.

Released in 1992, this is still one of the most popular games in the series.
Miles "Tails" Prower, a young fox, was introduced in this game.
Together with Sonic, he fought against Dr. Eggman.
Notes
This is only a part of Sonic 2 CX and not all the features are included:
- OGG music, WAV sfx are not included.
- No analog stick ("walking") support.
- Special Stage background is glitched but playable.
Settings
This seems to provide the highest quality scaling in 480i/p mode by allowing the height to remain unfiltered.
Using the regular normal2x filter would introduce a frame jitter every ~10 seconds.
Note: For the few users who want to run this mod in 240p mode, make sure to disable this filter.
