A mod for Rabi-Ribi that replaces the sprites with the ones from the PC version (based on this idea). In addition to that, since the Vita sprites have the outlines pre-drawn, they're not dynamic or half-transparent like in every other version of the game, a simple half-width solid dark outline is also added around every sprite as a compromise.
Additionally, nameless NPC girls now also have their outlines back, just like the rest of the characters and enemies. Finally, several fixed/cleaner PC backgrounds have been backported and the UPRPRC girls' bunny ears outlines have been touched up. Though Miriam and her shop are still looking quite blurry despite the sprite and background changes.
The resulting mod is not exactly a game-changer or anything but it's a welcome subtle upgrade.
Installation
Version differences:
- The solid black outlines version is recommended, it's completely issue-free.
- The transparent outlines are more authentic to the PC/NS/PS4 versions, yes, but some sprites may become invisible in a fully populated town.
Make sure you have rePatch plugin installed.
Copy the rePatch folder to the root of the memory card (ux0:rePatch/).
Also, consider pairing this mod with Vita Nearest Neighbour.
