REminiscence is a re-implementation of the engine used in the game Flashback: The Quest for Identity made by Delphine Software and released in 1992. It is a 2D platformer with similar style and gameplay to classics like Another World or Prince of Persia.
REminicence was first released by Gregory Montoir in 2005. This program serves as a cross-platform alternative to the original executable, and requires the game data files from the original versions of Flashback (DOS, PC-CD, Amiga, or Macintosh).
The executable also supports the Amiga protracker music and SegaCD speech files. English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Japanese languages are supported.
Installation
You will need the original files, here is the required list:
FB_TXT.FNT GLOBAL.ICN GLOBAL.FIB GLOBAL.SPC *.OFF *.SPR *.MAP *.PAL *.ANI *.CT *.MBK *.OBJ *.PGE *.RP *.TBN *.CMD *.POL *CINE.*
Put all of them in the DATA directory.
If you have a version distributed by SSI, you'll have to rename some files:
logosssi.cmd -> logos.cmd logosssi.pol -> logos.pol menu1ssi.map -> menu1.map menu1ssi.pal -> menu1.pal
In order to hear music, you'll need the original music files (.mod) of the Amiga version. Copy them to the DATA directory and rename them like this:

In order to hear the vocal dialogue in-game, you'll need the original voice.vce file of the Sega/Mega CD version. Copy it to the DATA directory.
Controls
The game is controlled using Wiimote 1 (hold it sideway).
Menu:
B - Skip videos
D-Pad Up/Down - Go up/down
A - Select
In game:
D-Pad - Move player
A - Use the current inventory object
2 - Action (Talk, Use, Run, Shoot)
B - Inventory, Skip dialogue
