Newo Zero is a galactic race over and below NewoTokyo. Use your piloting skills to race through 60 levels across 5 championships.

The game plays in 60FPS with 3D graphics. It also has GameCube controller and Classic Controller support.

User guide

How to play

The game very simple and is fast but not so fast that you cannot take the corners at full speed. All you have to do is avoid crashing into the walls and other cars.

If you crash too many times then the game over. There is a health bar at the bottom of the screen indicatng your energy.

Modding

Due to how the game stores assets and files, it is very easy to mod. Music files are stored in 64kbps MP3 files, located in assets/bgm. Sound effects can also be changed by replacing them with properly encoded .snd files. Image files are stored under images/, which can be changed with properly sized PNG files.

Models are stored in the model/ folder, which can also be modified using 3D model editors.

Controller

All controls work for first player only. Wiimote, Gamecube controller, Classic, and Nunchuck can be used. When motion controls is enabled the Wiimote held sideways with face buttons up is used to steer the ship. Other controllers use the D-Pad and/or the Left Analog Stick.
