This is a proof-of-concept for a dungeon crawling game, made in GB Studio.
The mechanics are a simplified version of the 1981 Tom Moldvay edition of the Dungeons & Dragons Basic Rulebook, with some additional material inspired by the David "Zeb" Cook edition of the D&D Expert Rulebook, the Rules Cyclopedia edition of D&D from 1991, and the 5e edition of D&D from 2014.
It was a submission for My First Game Jam: Summer 2022.
Installation
Play the game in-browser or download the ROM file to use on a Game Boy Color emulator like Sameboy.
If you have the necessary hardware, you can also flash the ROM to a cartridge and play it on a physical Game Boy Color or Game Boy Advance.
