Crunched Moguri Mod Field Backgrounds is a Final Fantasy IX mod based on the Moguri Mod, a fan remaster project that offers improved visuals, high-resolution textures, HD support, and many other features.
This mod only focuses on enhancing the field background textures, it is not the full experience brought by the original mod.
Installation
Copy the 01007EF00B094000 folder to the corresponding directory:
- Atmosphere <=0.9.4
/Atmosphere/title/ - Atmosphere >=0.10.1
/Atmosphere/contents/ - SXOS
/SXOS/titles/

Compatible with all CFWs.
Known issues
- Layers are not ideally aligned. PC shows them with thinner grey lines around layers (and should not at all).
- On Switch small screen they are barely visible.
