Dangerous Xmas is a platform game alà Rick Dangerous.
This was an entry for the GBAX 2003 Coding Competition (2nd place).
Features
- A full cartoon intro the way the originals had.
- Rick's decked out in a Father Christmas suit.
- Rick won't just stand there doing nothing if you do nothing... (think Duke Nukem, Sonic The Hedgehog, etc...).
- The "waaaaaaa" is well and truly intact, and dying characters really do jump out the screen, this is not just a two-frame animation similar to Rick 2.
- Parallax background.
- Snow falls all across the screen.
- The frame shakes when dynamite explodes, or a giant snowball hits the floor.
- There's some new sounds.
User guide
The main goal is to collect as much gift as possible while progressing through traps and baddies.
Controls description can be find in the options.
Gamma can be adjusted while the game is paused.
