User guide

Story

The game follows the journey of a stick man on a mission to recover the stolen melody of Yule-tide from strange creatures.

You play as a stick figure who likes to travel from the start to the finish of each level. However, this time around, the harmony of the holiday season has been taken by some peculiar yet mostly harmless creatures. Your task is to retrieve the music and restore the festive spirit.

How to play

The goal is to navigate through each level, collecting musical notes and reaching the end. Once you've collected all the notes, you'll be treated to a festive jingle. The game is compatible with both the Wii Remote and GameCube Controller.

Defeat enemies by jumping on them or rolling into them. To regain 1 bar of health, stand near a Gift Box and press up (keep in mind that the location must be precise, don't stand directly on top of it).

The game features various types of terrain. Forward slashes can be traversed from the left but not from the right, while back slashes are the opposite. You can jump through the bottom of narrow platforms, but there is a bug where sometimes you will fall through the top. Touching spikes while moving upward will cause damage, but not if you touch them while moving downward or walking straight. Water signifies a bottomless pit. As stick-people have no body fat, they are not buoyant.

Collect all 11 music notes in a level to earn a Golden Note badge and hear a delightful tune.

Note: For those with a widescreen TV, open savedata.elg in a text editor such as Notepad and change "widescreen='0'" to "widescreen='1'". While this may cause more graphical glitches, it will offer a larger view field, making gameplay easier.
