This is a fan translation project of Black Butler NDS. Part of the Black Butler universe, the game features an original spin-off story supervised by Yana Toboso, the series' creator. Set in the resort town of Brighton, it takes place between chapters 13 & 14 of the manga (Post the Red Butler arc).
Players can control either Ciel or Sebastian in a chose-your-own-adventure game featuring puzzles, mini games, and multiple endings.
The translation project took two years to complete and was created by the Phantom and Ghost Team. It is fully playable and includes translations for both the main storyline and all of the bonus content.

The patch is in xDelta format. You can apply the patch with xdelta UI:
- For patch, choose the ButlerPatch.xdelta file.
- Source should be your copy of the ROM, as an .nds filetype.
- Finally, set your output destination. Make sure to add .nds at the end.
- Hit patch to generate the modified ROM.

FAQ
Q. What is the ROM?
The ROM is a .nds file type, which contains a copy of the game's data. You'll need one in order to apply this patch.
Once you've bought a physical copy of the DS cartridge, you can obtain a copy of the ROM by making a backup to your computer, otherwise known as doing a ROM dump. There are several methods to go about this, so please seek advice using Google if necessary.
Q. What are the recommended emulators?
- Windows 7+, Mac OS X - DeSmuME.
- Linux - DeSmuME Install Guide, alternatively, iDeaS (may experience some graphical errors).
- Android - DraStic (Premium), nds4droid (Free).
- iOS- iNDS.
Q. What is the Fully Unlocked Save Data and how do I use it?
It is copy of the game memory that contains all of the bonus content already unlocked. It comes as a .sav filetype, and is useful if you'd prefer to skip through Tanaka's Search Mode, or play Sebastian's route before completing Ciel's.
How to use it this will depend on the emulator you've chosen, but you should find an option to import backup memory/saved games etc. Use the auto-recommended settings if prompted.

Compatibility
You can play the patched ROM using an emulator on PC, iOS and Android. The quality of the gameplay will be affected by your hardware (e.g. if your computer is very old and slow, the game won't run correctly, if at all). See the FAQ section.
The patched ROM is also playable on DS/3DS using a homebrew service or Flashcart (tested by the translation team on an R4 SDHC 3DS Dual-Core cart with a 2DS).
