1808 is a 2-player homebrew game influenced by a classic from 1989, North and South, which in turn is based on the French comic Les Tuniques Bleues.
In this game, instead of controlling the Confederate or Union armies in the American Civil War, you control the Spanish or French armies during the Peninsular War (the Spanish War of Independence).
User guide
The goal of the game is to defeat all of the rival's armies in multiple battles that take place across the entire Spanish territory.
On the map, players select the territory to which they want to move their army. Each turn, players can move each army only once. If the chosen territory is occupied by the enemy, a battle will begin.
On the battlefield, the French army is positioned on the left side, and the Spanish army on the right. Each army consists of three squadrons: Infantry, Artillery, and Cavalry. Each squadron has unique attack and movement mechanics.
