Puchi Kat is a homebrew dungeon crawler developed by indie creator Lcoh for the Nintendo 3DS. Released in May 2025, the game combines a heartfelt narrative with procedurally generated gameplay, offering players a unique experience on legacy hardware.
Gameplay
In Puchi Kat, players assume the role of Kat, a catgirl who has been working at a bakery with her friend Leopold for five years. Harboring feelings for Leopold, Kat saves up her tips to buy him a special gift—a butterfly-shaped amulet. However, after purchasing the amulet, she is ambushed by jealous rodents who steal it. Determined to retrieve the stolen gift, Kat ventures into procedurally generated dungeons, battling various rodent adversaries.
The game features three main antagonists:
- Anastasia Mozzaranda
- Victor Camembard
- Mason Crock
Each villain presents unique challenges as Kat navigates through the dungeons to reclaim the amulet.
