A taiHEN plugin that shows battery percent in statusbar for IRS-1001 motherboard (Japanese "Sapphire Blue" and "Cosmic Red" OLED Vita PCH-1000 model)
About This Plugin
This plugin is a solution for the incorrect battery percentage display on certain models of the PS Vita, specifically the Sapphire Blue and Cosmic Red Japanese OLED PS Vita (IRS-1001 motherboard). The issue is that these models would show a maximum battery charge of 83% when modded using the default HENkaku Ensō tutorial. This is due to the charge controller on the IRS-1001 motherboard being set to cutoff at 4.05V, whereas other OLED PS Vita models with the IRS-002 motherboard charge fully to 4.2V.
This plugin modifies the original shellbat plugin to scale the battery percentage display from 0-83 to 0-100, which only affects the displayed percentage and not the actual charging cutoff voltage. The solution is for UI/UX cosmetics only, and the actual battery life remains unchanged.
Notes
Make sure you have a brick protection (EmergencyMount Vita or something similar). This plugin was only tested on the author’s own Vita (PCH-1000 Sapphire Blue); use it at your own risk!
