During the later stages of the PSP's lifecycle, Sony introduced a verification step where it would require users to physically remove and reinsert the Memory Stick when running UMD backups. This was intended to check that the game was being run from a legitimate UMD.
Some of the games known to have this security feature:
- Rewrite (ULJM06364, ULJM06365)
- Flowers (ULJM06390)
- グリザイアの迷宮 (ULJM06382)
- グリザイアの楽園 (ULJM06395)
- ヴァルプルガの詩 (ULJM06404)
This plugin can emulate the action of inserting or removing a Memory Stick using a key combination.
Installation
Copy mschange.prx to ms0:/seplugins/.
Add the following line in ms0:/seplugins/game.txt
ms0:/seplugins/mschange/mschange.prx 1
Reset VSH.
Controls
Select+Up - Emulate inserting Memory Stick
Select+Down - Emulate removing Memory Stick
