Door Kickers: Action Squad Vita is a PS Vita port of the side-scrolling action game where players control SWAT troopers in tactical missions. This homebrew loader runs the official Android v1.2.4 release using TheFloW's Android SO Loader framework.

About The Game

Door Kickers: Action Squad is a crazy old school side scroller action game that puts you in the role of a SWAT trooper and sends you to deal with the bad guys in Nowhere City USA. Choose your gear, then kick the doors down and face the action.

Setup Instructions (For Players)

To properly install the game, follow these steps precisely:

Install or update Kubridge and FdFix by copying kubridge.skprx and fd_fix.skprx to your taiHEN plugins folder (usually ur0:tai) and adding the following two entries to your config.txt under *KERNEL:

  *KERNEL
  ur0:tai/kubridge.skprx
  ur0:tai/fd_fix.skprx

! ⚠️ Don't install `fd_fix.skprx` if you're using the rePatch plugin!

Make sure you have libshacccg.suprx in the ur0:/data/ folder on your console. If you don't, use ShaRKBR33D Vita to get it quickly and easily.

Legally obtain your copy of Door Kickers: Action Squad for Android in the form of an .apk file. This port is tailored for the v1.2.4 (latest) version of the game. Other versions will not work.
- If you have it installed on your phone, you can get all the required files directly from it or by using any APK extractor that you can find on Google Play.

ℹ️ Verify that your build is the correct version using sha1sum (can also be found as an online tool). The sha1sum for lib/armeabi-v7a/libAndroidEntryPoint.so must be 6D5F53159CF9E183A7E679820FC886C83F56EA86

Open the .apk with any ZIP explorer (like 7-Zip) and extract the folders lib and assets from the .apk into ux0:data/com.khg.actionsquad/ on your Vita. An example of the correct resulting path: ux0:data/com.khg.actionsquad/assets/all/media/scripts.xml

Install com.khg.actionsquad.vpk (from Releases).

Controls

The port features support for both touch and physical controls. To use physical controls, when you open the game and reach the main menu, wait a few seconds for a pop-up window offering to enable them. Physical control mapping information is available in-game by pressing the dpad button. L2/R2 are mapped to the upper half of the back touchpad.
