Mighty Mike, originally released in 1995 as Power Pete by Pangea Software, is a top-down 2D run-and-gun action game set in a toy store. It has been updated to run on modern macOS, Windows, and Linux systems while preserving the classic gameplay and pixelated retro style.

The switch port runs on SDL2 and has currently these limitations:

  • The controller mapping is a bit off: A/B and X/Y are swapped. (This means you use B to confirm things)
  • Highscores cannot be entered, use +/- to return from the screen
  • Configuration directory is hardcoded to sdmc:/switch/MightyMike

Controls

Default Controls (configurable):

  • Move with left stick or d-pad buttons
  • Aim with right stick, otherwise determined by movement
  • Shoot with ZR or Y
  • Switch weapons with L and R
  • Switch Bunny Radar + and -
