CEC Tool is a 3DS homebrew utility by Sorunome for inspecting, debugging, and exporting CEC (StreetPass) data on the Nintendo 3DS. CEC (Communication Exchange for Console) is the system used by the 3DS for StreetPass functionality.

The application provides users with an on-device way to examine and export their console's StreetPass data, which was previously only possible through tools like GodMode9 scripts.

Installation

Available in both 3DSX and CIA formats.

3DSX

1. Download cec-tool.3dsx from the GitLab releases page.
2. Place the file in the /3ds/ folder on your SD card.
3. Launch via the Homebrew Launcher.

CIA

1. Download cec-tool.cia from the GitLab releases page.
2. Install using FBI or another CIA installer.
3. Launch from the HOME Menu.
