Pokémon SV+ is an overhaul ROM hack for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on the Nintendo Switch, aiming to deliver a challenging “Vanilla+” or “New Game+” style experience for players seeking greater depth and expanded gameplay. The project provides a comprehensive quality-of-life (QOL) upgrade, trainer rework, an extended post-game, and the restoration of every unobtainable Pokémon and form right from the start.

Features

  • Challenging Vanilla+ Gameplay - Retains the original Scarlet and Violet structure, increasing challenge and variety with adjusted trainer battles, new post-game content, and a host of QOL enhancements.
  • Trainer and Post-Game Overhaul - Fully revamped trainer rosters and post-game events extend replay value beyond the main storyline.
  • Pokédex Restoration - Every Pokémon in the Paldea Pokédex and their regional/alternate forms can be legitimately caught in-game without trading or transferring.
  • Expanded Evolutions - Alternative evolution methods for various species are introduced. For example, trade evolutions are replaced by special hold items or stones, like evolving Haunter into Gengar with a Dusk Stone, or Feebas into Milotic by leveling up while holding a Destiny Knot.
  • Quality-of-Life Updates - Tweaks such as better map markers, faster battles, improved player movement, better raid probabilities, shiny lock removal, and enhanced picnics make gameplay snappier and more accessible.
  • Ride Pokémon & Indigo Disk DLC Support - Improvements to ride Pokémon mechanics and full integration with the Indigo Disk DLC, including new flying and diving speed/handling adjustments.
  • SV+ Patches - Optional patches let modders and users further customize mechanics, sometimes radically, while retaining core SV+ compatibility.
