Firewii is a full-screen fire animation demo for the Nintendo Wii, inspired by the Asphyxia ASM tutorial #19 written by Denthor long ago. I developed this program as a performance test for the plot and line functions of GRRLIB.
Like the 1996 original code, Firewii showcases a hypnotic beauty that captivates viewers and makes them want to keep watching the flames. This demo is perfect for creating a relaxing and charming atmosphere and is ideal for watching while sitting on a carpet near a warm fire in the living room.
This demo is dedicated to my beloved wife.
Acknowledges
- Denthor from Asphyxia demoscene group, for every tutorial he wrote. He said that "took" the fire effect from the iguana demo...
- The GRRLib developers group, for writing its framework library.
- The GMRV group and its "master on graphics, videogames, and virtual reality".
- Everybody that made possible to develop homebrew on the Wii.
- The fire icon was designed by Iconka and published as "free for not commercial use" on the Iconspedia. I just took it and added the FireWii text with gimp.
