Enhanced Lighting for Minecraft PS Vita Edition 1.83.
Enhanced lighting is a patch that makes lighting look better in the overworld and the nether, by giving the dimensions a shader-like look. This patch changes the lighting colour of all light sources to be way warmer than the default, which was fully white.
Requirements:
- rePatch plugin and folder
- 1.83 Minecraft patch
Installation:
- In the rePatch folder, create a folder according to your version of Minecraft's title id. (USA: PCSE00490 | Europe: PCSB00560 | Japan: PCSG00332)
- The rePatch folder should look like this: ux0:rePatch/TITLEID
- Extract the .zip file, and copy the Common folder to ux0:rePatch/TITLEID/
Open the game and enjoy!
Removal:
- Simply delete the Common folder or the colours.col file from ux0:rePatch/TITLEID/
- If you would like to disable the parch, rather than deleting it, rename the colours.col file to something like colours.col.bak.
What it changes:
- The overworld lighting such as torches, lava, fire, and all other light sources now use a warmer colour instead of the default white lighting, giving light sources a softer look. The fog has also been slightly changed to a bluer tone.
- The Nether lighting, such as fire and lava, now uses an orange-red tint to better match the atmosphere of the Nether. The fog has also been changed to a slightly lighter red colour.
If you have any recommendations on what to change (This is my first game patch), or suggestions for future lighting mods, send me a DM on reddit! (u/totallynotclockwork)
