This is a recompiled and updated version of fgsfdsfgs's ioquake3-nx to support Switch Firmware 12.x.
ioquake3-nx is a port of ioquake3, an open-source software first person shooter engine based on the Quake 3: Arena and Quake 3: Team Arena source code, which can be used to play Quake III and its mods.
Installation
You will need a legitimate copy of Quake 3: Arena. It is currently only available through Steam on Windows and gog.
To install, unzip contents into the switch folder on the SD card. A folder named ioquake3 will be created.
Drop in your legally obtained quake 3 arena assets from the baseq3 folder into the baseq3 folder in /switch/ioquake3/baseq3.
Notes:
- CD key must be in lowercase.
- An input window appears when opening the game initially, just press the Plus button to close it.
- The gyro functions was not compiling properly and was removed in this update.
Compatibility
Tested working on Firmware 12.1.
