OpenPoké was an attempted to rewrite the Pokémon engine as seen in Poké Fire Red from scratch; a game engine recreation. It runs on the same system as the original - the GameBoy Advance.
Features
- Fully seamless map scroll (courtesy of Cearn).
- Animated map tiles.
- Day/night color effects (color blend routine by Cearn).
- Sixteen different sets of wild Pokémon encounters — four times of day, four discovery methods.
- Custom script engine designed to match that of the original.
