Installation

Extract the "plugin" folder to the root of your sd card. Merge any folders it asks for.

Make sure the NTR Debugger is enabled before using. It is recommended using BootNTR Selector as this starts the debugger by default.

What is Pokemon RNG

RNG abuse is when players abuse a Pokemon game's random number mechanics to encounter any wild Pokemon, a legendary with any stats, or even breed a shiny Pokemon without any cheats, just the press of a button.

To achieve this, researchers figure out how the game's random number mechanics work and build tools to recreate the game mechanics on computers. These tools can find a desired Pokemon and tell us everything we need to obtain it.

Notes

  • ORAS and XY Plugins can now find the seed on their own.
  • You will need wwwwwwzx's 3DS RNG Tool to predict the PRNG.
  • Guides can be found on PokemonRNG.com.

Troubleshooting

The plugin isn't working/doesn't load:

  • Update your console to 11.5.
  • Update NTR to 3.5.
  • Update ORAS to 1.4.
  • Update XY to 1.5.
  • ORAS and XY have two different plugins - make sure you have the correct one.
  • Do not use Mode 3 NTR for Gen 6.
  • If the plugin doesn't load, reboot - this is common for non-extended memory plugins (like PCalcG6).

I pushed "A" and the game unpaused, but my battle didn't start/didn't press "A":

  • Make sure you hold down "A" instead of just tap it.

The Pokemon's frame I got is far away from the frame I wanted:

  • Make sure you don't have a Pokemon with the "Synchronize" ability at the first slot in your party.

I'm on an odd/even frame, but my target is on an even/odd frame:

  • Saving your game will often switch frames from odd to even.
  • (Make sure to do this before you're right next to your target frame and can't save).

  • After getting a seed, but before loading your save, press "B" to get to the title screen, then "A" to have the game reseed and the plugin show proper frames.

  • ORAS and XY Plugins can now get the Initial Seed by itself.
    • No more dependency on a reliable network.
  • ORAS Plugin shows if any seed is being forced (0xAABBCCDD using the patch, or any other seed using the modified patch).
    • Users can still use these seeds for personal reasons, but proofs and PCalc will only show "Forced Seed" where the init seed is located.
      • This allows proofs to not be spoofed for community usage, while still allowing personal collections to grow.
  • ORAS Horde Slots are now accessible.
  • ORAS can now use the directional pads to unpause with "A" like the XY Plugin.
  • Various performance improvements among both ORAS and XY.
