This is a revised English translation for Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s Tag Force 6. The original translator, Clickclaxer01, released a rather loose translation at the end of 2019. Unfortunately, large portions of it were quite inaccurate and contained profanities and slurs that most fans deemed inappropriate.

This new translation aims to be more faithful to the original Japanese script. Additionally, it contains a number of minor fixes.

This release includes two patch files:

  • TF6_proper_english_retranslation.xdelta - Patch for the original Japanese ISO and generates an English patched ISO.
  • TF6_reverse_patch.xdelta - Patch for the English patched ISO and revert back into the original Japanese ISO.

The .xdelta patch files shipped with this release can be applied with the included DeltaPatcherLite.

  • Choose the original file.
  • Choose the xdelta patch file you wish to apply.
  • Click "Apply patch" to generate the patched ISO.
  • The patched ISO will overwrite the original ISO unless the "Backup original file" option is selected in the settings.

User guide

List of changes:

  • The story events for all tier 1 & 2 characters have been retranslated. The original translation has been kept in places where it was already accurate.
  • The overworld dialogs of some characters have been revised. This includes all members of Team 5D's, as well as most non-duelist NPCs.
  • The names of a few characters have been changed: Fudo Yusei is now Yusei Fudo, the names of Bawnji, Syun and Yuma have been restored.
  • Alphabetical sorting in the deck editor has been fixed.
  • The translations of the Duelist Profiles in the List of Duelists have been replaced with the translations available on Yugipedia (except Crow's, which had to be translated from scratch).
  • The names and descriptions of all Booster Packs have received a complete retranslation.
  • The title menu has been restored and features a proper Credits splash screen.
  • The BGM has been restored to its original state.
