NDSkybook is a Aozora Bunko reading application for Nintendo DS. It allows you to read Japanese books while holding NDS vertically like a book. It is able to the restore the last book user was reading.

Installation

Put .nds or .ds.gba file and Aozora Bunko file (.txt) in the cartridge and start.

The maximum size of the library file that can be read is 1 megabyte.

Aozora Bunko files are compatible with EUC and Shift_JIS. However, half-width kana is displayed as blank.

When you start it, an explanation document will appear.

Compatibility

Tested and works on M3Perfect MiniSD, Supercard MiniSD, EZ4 Lite (MicroSD).

Yet to be tested but should also works on MK2 MMC, GBA MoviePlayer, M3Perfect SD/CF, Supercard SD/CF, EFA2 linker and EZ4 SD.

Known issues

For some reason, M3 Perfect MiniSD may be recognized as SCSD and hang. Please try booting several times.

  • The bug where it has become not be able to retain the book mark turning extended function to a ON was corrected.
  • INI was added to the file extension which you open.
  • The bug which Japanese file name has stopped opening was corrected.
  • Configuration file 'ndskybok.sys', was moved to '/NDSKYBKM/ndskybkm.sys' (Configuration is cancelled, but the book mark that way is)
  • Optimization option of the compiler, because of safety from -O3 was modified in -O2.
