DuckSlinger is a tracker for the Nintendo DS. Its aim is to use the unique hardware of the DS to make an intuitive tool for quickly creating chiptune-style music.

It was submitted to the Wild Demo competition at Blockparty 2009 and in the 2nd place.

User guide

It has 5 sound modes and 7 ways to make the tone sound to adjust from.

There is also a play mode (with 2 original demo songs), if playing the wrong note, for 2 second the note will not be played.

Sample songs:

Duckslinger uses song0.ctm - song8.ctm for its save slots.

Rename the sample songs to the appropriate name to load it in that slot.

To use the save/load feature you will need to DLDI patch the .nds file.

Controls

D-Pad/A/B/X/Y - Move cursor

Hold L/R - Switch subscreen: use touchscreen to move around

Hold Select - Selection (Move cursor to expand selection)

Up/Down (selection active) - Transpose +/- 1 Octave

Left/Right (selection active) - Transpose +/- 1 Semitone

Tap Select - De-select

Start - Fill pattern with rows above cursor
