Aztec Challenge is a basic puzzle game which was originally on the Ti-82 graphing calculator, but it was ported over to the NDS system by Bodom.

Not just content only, Bodom-Child has completely redone the graphics and change the mood of the game for a futuristic atmosphere more "pre-Columbian civilization ".

Features

  • completely remade and original graphics
  • updated gameplay
  • supports french and english (depending on DS settings)

Installation

If you play with the version. Ds.gba (on linker), your progress will be saved on the cartridge, simply select "Continue" on the title screen (no kidding).

If you play on Supercard (version. Sc.nds), your progress is not saved (maybe later, there I have not found how to), but you can move from one level to another with the shoulder buttons, it compensates.

Note that the game runs under DSEmu nickel, but without sound.

Objectives

The objective of the game is to destroy the glassy looking object by firing fireballs strategically through the levels to reach and destroy it.

Gameplay

For each level you have to shoot the crystal twice by launching fireballs. These fireballs have to make their way through the level using different objects. The first nine levels are tutorials which will explain you the goal of the differents objects you'll encounter. These nine levels passed, just put the cursor on an object to see its purpose on the upper screen .

Level Editor

A Level Editor is also included, which allow you to create your own levels and add them directly to a rom, so you can test them directly on your DS .

This editor also allow you to save your own levels on your hard drive (in case you want to edit them later), and to send me the levels by a simple click (it's automatic, just send the generated mail). And if your levels are good, they will be in the next versions of the game !

Controls

A - Select.

D-Pad - Move up, down, left or right.

Start - Pause Menu.

B - In the pause menu restarts the level.

You can play the game using the Pad or the stylus.
