This tool allows for copying save data between gamecards and digital games on the Nintendo 3DS.
Note: This is in development. It can go wrong. You are responsible for making backups. This does not make its own backup of the target save currently.
User guide
To use, insert a game card, run the software and choose the destination.
An example case of where this is useful is when game cards were dumped and installed as digital titles, and you want to copy all the saves over to them.
Differences between Save Data Copy Tool and other 3DS save tools:
- Unlike Checkpoint, this works even if the target game was not started yet, giving it a chance to format the save archive. It automatically formats the target save using the same settings as the source.
- Unlike Save Data Transfer Tool, this allows for transferring from digital to gamecard. It also does not erase the source savegame.
