Nikwi Deluxe PSP is a homebrew game coded by Denis Televnyy (deniska). It is an adaption of Nikwi Delux, a 2D single player platformer game for Linux that was created and published by Slashstone in 2005.

It was one of the contest entries for the Neo Spring Coding Compo 2008 (PSP Games).

Features - 30 Levels in total with 5 different themes. - Password selection screen. - Music tracks. - Converted FX to use SDL_mixer (faster boot). - Various PSP-specific optimizations.

Installation Copy nikwi_deluxe_psp folder to ms:/PSP/GAME/ or ms:/PSP/GAME3XX/ (where XX is your Firmware subversion).

User guide You play as a 9 year old boy in a game about his absolute dream: a world made of candies!

Your role is to guide Nikwi through all the 30 levels, eat all the candies in each level and avoid the monsters and the hazards that each level has.

Nikwi has a talent on jumping high, although his falls are not as good as he would like, and this is his only armor against the monsters which try to turn his dream into a nightmare.

For every 6 levels the theme changes (with 5 themes available in the full version) and the gameplay is altered. New monsters appear for every 2 levels or so, of which require different approaches to be taken in order to avoid them.

Controls Triangle - Jump, Select Menus D-pad - Menu navigation, In game movements Analog - Menu navigation, In game movements Circle - Select on confirmation, Password screens Start - Pause, Back to game

Changelog version 1.0 - Added password selection screen (press [triangle] on password entry screen); New passwords are saved as the player progresses through the game. - Added music tracks. - Converted FX to use SDL_mixer (faster startup). - Misc PSP-specific optimizations.

version 0.5 - Initial release.
