MSX emulator for the DS.
MSX was a home computer (much like the amiga) based on the Z80 processor with a version of microsoft BASIC at the core of it that was launched in late 1983. While not very popular at all in North America the MSX family of computers enjoyed considerable success in parts of former Soviet Union, Korea, Japan, South America in places like Brazil and Chile as well as mainland Europe.
Installation
- Unzip the archive and copy fmsxDS.nds on flash card
- Copy the /msxds folder that contains 'CMOS.ROM' and 'Carts.crc' files into root of flash card
- Copy MSX/MSX2/MSX2+ japanese BIOS, FM-PAC BIOS and Kanji ROM into this folder
User guide
Menu items:
- Item #1: Start emulation
- Item #2: Load cartridge 1
- Item #3: Load cartridge 2
- Item #4: Load disk 1
- Item #5: Load disk 2
- Item #6: Load cassette
- Item #7: Options (see below)
- Item #8: Save State. First item in the sub menu will exit that menu. Then the next 3 items will save state 1, 2 or 3. Next and last 3 items will load state 1,2 or 3.
- Item #9: Hard reset (not sure)
- Item #10: Soft reset (not sure)
Note: the last 2 items are only visible while you are in game emulation mode.
For the options menu:
- Item #1: Back to previous menu
- Item #2: Opens up the clipping menu. Also inside you can select pre-configured screen clippings or sizes, or the last item will allow you to set the screen to your desire
- Item #3: Opens up the control menu. You select whether you want to control Keyboard, Joystick 1 or Joystick 2

Known Issues
Using the touch screen fmsxDS will crash, even with a simple single touch. Prevent using ouch screen at all during any time in fmsxDS because the emulator will crash or stop responding.
