{{#seo: |title=Vita Homebrew Apps (Utilities) - GameBrew |title_mode=append |image=isitfakevita.png |image_alt=Is It Fake? }} A homebrew application developed with [[Lua Player Plus Vita]] for checking whether your SD card is potentially a fake. The app works by checking the storage capacity of an SD card and comparing it with a known table of capacities for genuine SD cards. If the card falls within the expected range, it's considered genuine. For instance, a real 256GB SD card should show around 238GB after formatting. If it shows significantly more, like 249GB, the app flags it as fake. In general, this method is pretty accurate because most fake SD cards have capacities far from genuine ones. However, if fake card makers start using more accurate capacities, this method might become less reliable. ==Screenshots== https://dlhb.gamebrew.org/vitahomebrews/isitfakevita-01.png https://dlhb.gamebrew.org/vitahomebrews/isitfakevita-02.png https://dlhb.gamebrew.org/vitahomebrews/isitfakevita-03.png https://dlhb.gamebrew.org/vitahomebrews/isitfakevita-04.png ==Changelog== '''v0.2b''' *Fixed SD values for cards such as Samsung Evo Plus.
