XMB Rco Patcher is a plugin developed by DarkGiovy (aka Leafire) that can customize XMB by loading user-defined RCO, without rewriting Flash0 of PSP.
The advantage of this application is allowing you to modify your own XMB, it functions in the manner of CXMB and you can customize almost every aspects of the main menu of your PSP: icons, background, Coldboot, battery icon, sound bar, etc.
It was participated in the PSP Genesis Competition 2011.
Installation
There are 2 versions available, one dedicated for Custom Firmwares 5.00-5.50-6.39 and another one for Custom Firmwares 6.20-6.35.
For 5.XX Version:
Put RCOS folder in the root of Memory Stick.
Put Xmb_Rco_Patcher folder in PSP/GAME/.
Put rcopatcher.prx in seplugins and edit the file vsh.txt, write
ms0:/seplugins/rcopatcher.prx 1
For 6.20 - 6.35 Version:
Put RCO folder in seplugins.
Put Xmb_Rco_Patcher folder in PSP/GAME/.
Put rcopatcher.prx in seplugins and edit vsh.txt, write
ms0:/seplugins/zerorco_patcher 1
User guide
It is advised to always exit the application using R-Trigger from the main menu.
Controls
Cross - Open main menu
R - Exit application (main menu, always exit from here)
L - Change wallpaper (main menu)
L+R - Help menu
L+Start - Select a RCO
L+Triangle - Return
Select - Restore RCO to default settings
