In the game you control the Gradius shield which becomes a force field when it attacks.  


Player can't damage those electric sparks. Bursting can be used for defense. Laser gauge is auto filling but fills faster when you hit an enemy in burst mode.
The goal is to destroy everything by Bursting (R/L + B) or by Ikalaser (Ikaruga-like laser).
